Our Story

The idea behind establishing Jericho Bikes is an attempt to resurrect the old times experience when Jericho was famous with bicycle renting. The idea behind the project is to establish a bicycle sharing and transportation system in Jericho City, and some areas around the Dead Sea and Jordan Valley. It is a shared transportation service in which bicycles are loaned to individuals on a short-term basis.

Jericho and its citizens have always been known for utilizing bicycles as a means of transportation. The city is famous of its flat terrain and leveled roads, which makes a bicycle ride a joyful experience. Historically, Jericho was famous of its bicycles renting shops, as it is part of the heritage there but slowly fading. However, almost in every house in Jericho you can still find a bicycle that is used by a family member as a means of transportation and to run errands. Some families leave the bicycles of their ancestors as part of their heritage.
